| White tea is an unfermented tea; the leaves are rapidly fired and dried resulting in perhaps a purer, more "natural" state. White tea contains a higher proportion of buds, which are covered with fine 'silvery' hairs that impart a light white or grey color to the tea. It brews to a pale yellow/light red color, and has a slightly sweet flavor with no "grassy" undertones sometimes associated with green tea. Recent health research results have pointed to White Tea as potentially having the largest amount of health benefits of any of the Teas made from Camellia sinensis. |
